Giving Back is a Family Affair for the Stutzmans

From a young age, Michael Stutzman, and his sister, Annie, learned the importance of giving to causes close to their hearts. “We were raised by my parents with the belief that helping others is fundamental,” says Mike. Now Mike and Annie manage the Stutzman Family Foundation and are carrying on the family’s philanthropic legacy.

Three Generations of Giving

Carole Brown’s life has been shaped by her devotion to her children and family and her passion for giving back to her community in meaningful ways. Her parents instilled in her the importance of philanthropy, and she has passed that on to her own daughters, Jennifer, Kristin and Alison, who have joined Carole in continuing their family’s legacy of giving.

Dr. Susan Beris

Yale New Haven Hospital is pleased to announce a gift to establish the Susan Beris, MD, Neurosurgical Oncology Program. The program will build upon the success of the busiest brain tumor surgical program in Connecticut and expand on the highly specialized neurosurgical oncology care provided at Yale New Haven and Smilow Cancer Hospital.

Alden-Wright Foundation, Inc.

The Alden-Wright Foundation has been supporting early detection research in head and neck cancers since 2003, when P. T. (Pete) Wright established the Virginia Alden-Wright Fund for Early Detection at Yale New Haven Hospital. Pete’s wife Virginia (Ginny) was diagnosed with a form of throat cancer and was treated by Clarence Sasaki, MD, a world renowned cancer specialist.
